The five Final Reel contestants will address topics during the contest that intertwine subjects related to their final course or degree projects, their personal lives, and socially relevant and global issues.

The Final Reel brings the personality and skills of everyday film students to a reality show. Get to know the artists behind the weekly video logs. Check in regularly to see your favorite person’s latest video and read how their life is going. Check out their personal pages, and get to know them better.

The episode topics are:

  • Introduction: get to know each of the contestants.
  • Conflict: How to handle it, avoid it, and improve from it?
  • Media & Technology: Changing perception. Changing humanity.
  • Integration or Collision: Does your life integrate work, play, and relationships, or do these collide in your schedule?
  • Freedom vs. Responsibility: Where does freedom end and responsibility begin in your art?

    • Our contestants are selected because of their filmmaking abilities and interesting personalities. Be a part of deciding who wins the grand prize, vote for your favorite person. Help launch the careers of our contestants, and enjoy.
